We had a twin room which was cold as the radiator wasn’t heating up on the first night but within minutes of reporting an electric heater was provided

Cold & draughty room
Average hotel. Dated. Staff were nice enough. Travelled in December, was cold weather & the room was draughty & cold. Single beds. Duvets were thin, short & narrow. Location was good for the tube & quiet area.

My friend and I stayed at Strathmore and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very quiet—we never heard our neighbors.

Perfect location for Royal Albert Hall. Very small room, but comfortably furnished. Radiator was very noisy, so slept with it off. Quiet late night bar was lovely.

Uncomfortable basement room...
Given a basement room. Annoying clanking or dripping in the ceiling from air-con late at night. Uncomfortably hard bed. Loud, shouty hotel decorators outside our windows at 7am.

Good
Lovely hotel but not overly clean in the room if you’re looking in the corners etc. Could do with a few revamps to get up to 4 star standard. Also, the room was extremely hot. A fan was provided though. Good location though for what we wanted to do in London, and I would return. Thank you

The staff was sweet and helpful. The food was good, good service. There was some rubbish left in the hallway when I got there, and the first day it was picked up after I asked, and the second day it was not They could use more variety in pillows, They were a bit hard. I could hear everything in my room from the other room, including farts, and every word in a conversation, that was uncomfortable, perhaps they should provide white noise machines. Lastly it's uncomfortable to hear the news all day and music in the lounge. The lounge was loverly except for that. Perhaps news with captions, but no volume?

Staff were young and seemed somewhat inexperienced. However, they were very attentive and helpful - to the best of their ability. The exterior of the property is under renovation, I wonder if it is under new management with a new staff. The location and proximity to the metro couldn’t be better. I am a solo traveler, and my room was tiny, but very clean and Had everything I needed. I used the laundry service, had tea in the bar but skipped the breakfast because it was expensive and I found another English breakfast right around the corner. I frequented the pub that is a three minute walk. Good food, good beer, and seemed popular with the locals.

I stayed with a family of four. We had a room on the 1st floor (above ground level) and the room was more than adequate for our purposes. Staff was incredible friendly. The hotel itself is not modern, so if that is what you are looking for you won't find it. That said, the hotel was once a large mansion and exudes old world charm. There is a lovely reception/bar area that is cozy and well-staffed. I loved my stay here and it is less than 5 min. walk from Glouster Road station. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy to walk to many neighborhoods in central London. Also, 2 min. from the Natural History museum.
