Nerja's Nerja City Centre neighbourhood is known for its beaches and cafes, and entices visitors with attractions, including Calahonda Beach and Carabeo Beach.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing, head to Balcon de Europa – just one of the monuments in Nerja City Centre. Hotels.com travellers also say the area is walkable and that it has lots of nice beaches.
When the beach is calling your name, you might want to head down to Burriana Beach, located 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from central Nerja. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Carabeo Beach, Playa Carabeillo, and Playa Piedra de Tarzán, all 3 within a short walk.
If you like quiet time surrounded by flowers and greenery, then make a stop at Nerja Caves in the heart of Maro. Our travellers also like this walkable area for its beaches. If you like Nerja Caves, you'll love Pena Escrita and The Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara & Alhama, both just a short drive away.
If a restful holiday is part of your travel plans, Calahonda Beach might be the perfect place to visit during your trip to Nerja City Centre. While you're in the area, stroll along the seaside.
Nerja is applauded for its cultural attractions such as Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja and Museo de Nerja. This beachside city has something for everyone including sights like Calahonda Beach and Carabeo Beach within a secluded setting.
Very romantic place. After our second day there, felt like home. Excellent food overall and good prices. Nice and clean sea beaches.

Add an early morning walk to your trip to enjoy it without crowds. Or around midnight before or after a visit to El Molino.

Nerja is a great mix of small city and tourist accomodations. Its not like being 'enclosed' in a resort. It is close to some great cities, it works very well as part of an extended roadtrip.

We love Nerja and the great thing is that it doesn't close down in the winter months.
"The staff was very helpful and friendly. They spoke our language even though we were in their country. We enjoyed our room and the close walk to the beach. Spain is a wonderful place to be!"
