"First of all, I want to share that the property manager, Yvann, is amazing at what he does, and has one of the most pleasant and helpful personalities I've met in my travels through Lake Atitlan. He made sure to answer all questions and book transportation needed at different moments. Having said that, the hotel is a bit out of the way and has very thin walls for you light sleepers. You will start hearing roosters, dogs and traffic at 5AM VERY loudly and also hear all your neighbors'...

"This property is gorgeous! We loved sitting on our front porch area and enjoying the gardens. The place is gated and has security at all times so we always felt very safe on the property. The room was cleaned every day and it was always quiet after 10 PM. There’s a lot of amenities on the property. It was super convenient to walk over to the restaurant whenever we wanted a snack or a drink. We lounged by the pool and used their free kayaks. "Casa del mundo is very picture perfect but it didn't feel as authentic as some of the other places we visited. The food was average and quite pricy. We booked massage that wasn't very good, after quite a few attempts we managed to get a bit off money back at least. The jacuzzi was lovely. For unknown reason the paddle boards were broken,but we weren't told why and when we could use them. There is A LOT of stairs, so if you have issues with that it's not the best place for you. "
