Very friendly if you stay in the safe areas, which we did. Lots of restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. We didn't do many tours outside the city because of the weather, but we still found many things to do. Will come back, for sure.

Unless you are an excellent driver, rental car not recommend. Pad time when planning on visiting any place as traffic congestion is bad. People are very friendly so take some time to talk and make the human experience.

The traffic in Guatemala city and in many of the other parts of the country is insane. However, Guatemala is beutiful. The mountains, the food and its people are great.

Overall the city is nice, just not much options to walk as the sidewalks are very narrow and there is plenty of pollution with all vehicles around.
"The hotel is centrally located, many restaurants and stores nearby without needing to go through traffic. The family suite is great, as kids had their own bedroom with individual beds, and their own bathroom. Food in the hotel is good, many options available. The service is excellent, staff are very welcoming. Hotel has free parking with restricted access."
