Learn more about Santorini
Clinging to the rim of an ancient volcano, whitewashed villages cascade down dramatic cliffs towards the impossibly blue Aegean. Wander the narrow cobblestone lanes of Oia, where every turn reveals another perfect view framed by blue-domed churches. The black sand beaches of Kamari and Perissa offer swimming spots unlike any other, with volcanic mountains rising behind sunbathers. Take a boat tour across the caldera to the smouldering islet where the volcano still steams and bubbles. Wine lovers shouldn't miss Santo Wines, where tastings come with sunset views that explain why artists have been drawn here for centuries. For history buffs, the remarkably preserved Bronze Age settlement at Akrotiri reveals a sophisticated civilisation frozen in time by the ancient eruption.

White Pearl Villas
"Beautiful rooms and conveniently located. Super friendly staff"
Caldera Premium Villas - Adults Only
"This was an amazing place to see and stay in! The rooms are ample and so quaint. The view is more beautiful than anything I’ve seen before and the breakfast was very nice! They had very helpful porters to carry luggage etc. we are very grateful for this wonderful place"
Maison Des Lys
"Superb in every way.recommended."
Santorini Palace
"The place was absolutely stunning, indeed felt like being in castle. It was close by to the main city center but those with mobility issues should be warned that it is very hilly. The whole staff went above and beyond, helped us switch rooms for a better view and was very helpful and kind. An example is the bellhop, Lucian. The pool was great, very clean with a great view. Additionally, there were a multitude of options to choose from at breakfast, with a great open seating space."
NOŪS Santorini
"Pros - staff were great, so friendly & helpful, pool is amazing - we had a pool in our room which was great and perfect temp. Room size is really generous & spacious for the Eurphoria suite. Gym is one of the best hotel gyms . Spa is beautiful & really enjoyable experience, the messages are great. Water all round hotel, fruit at breakfast, toiletries quality of body wash/ shampoo etc was excellent. coffee machine in room with a big fridge, Towels were always stocked. They have an app which is great and staff super responsive on WhatsApp, pool food was good too! Cons - a few areas where the hotel let itself down and to be a true 5 star I think it needs to be better at certain areas, firstly, there should be speakers in the room, although room was big it was lacking , the hotel did also not replace the vanity kits which was very frustrating, I believe there should be a free shuttle into Fira, instead taxis are really expensive and the hotel use a 3rd party company that charge more than local taxis. The coffee at breakfast was terrible, there was only a limited choice of different eggs. For a 5 star hotel it should not be machine coffee and should cater for omelettes, fried , poached etc. there was constant rubbish left around the bins not collected which is not pleasant. Parts of the hotel were “closed for renovation” - restaurant/ vitamin bar/gift shop. This felt like a cover up for not opening due to quieter times which is quite misleading & we observed no construction"
Ira Hotel & Spa - Adults Only
"The views from this hotel are amazing! The breakfast was so good. Wish the pool was bigger but no complaints on anything else."
Vogue Suites
"My daughter's and I loved our stay at Vogue Suites during our recent trip to Santorini. Our traditional cycladic cave suite gave us that old world feel with all the modern conveniences. Our suite was spacious & clean, beds were comfortable, location was convenient to shops & restaurants. Be prepared for lots of steps! Thankfully, 2 porters were there when we arrived to carry all our luggage. These young men were so helpful & friendly. They led us to reception and then to our room. At reception, Diana greeted us & made sure we had everything we needed. She arranged all the details for a boat excursion for us & was available to answer any questions. The views from our private patio were spectacular & the famous blue domes are just minutes away. I hope to return to Vogue Suites again some day & highly recommend it to anyone lucky enough to be planning a trip to Santorini."
El Greco Resort
"The best"
Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas
"Exceptional villa for 2 couples - pool, jacuzzi, and even a gym/sauna which we didn’t use😁 The pool was awesome and the sunset views from there were stunning. 6-min walk to Oia shops and restaurants via a mostly lit path that’s away from the main streets. Oia is a fabulous place to stay with vibe, shopping and great food."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Santorini
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Santorini is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those on a budget, staying for at least 3 to 4 days is perfect for discovering the island's historical and cultural landmarks. During your visit, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets, explore the beautiful islands, marvel at the volcanic landscapes, and engage in exciting excursions such as boating trips and beach outings. Don't miss the chance to visit the charming churches, the stunning cathedral, and local wineries, all of which offer great value for money.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Santorini, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special offers, ensuring you’re more likely to catch any opportunities to save. Additionally, use Smart Shopping, a comparison tool available through the app, to help you compare hotel prices and amenities efficiently. This way, if rooms become available or prices drop, you'll be among the first to know and can secure a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Santorini. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the pricing is on the higher end, we will suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, potentially helping you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Santorini's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further out that remains well linked. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be had. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
