Memorable holiday

The apartment is nice, in a good location, if they could only get rid of the FAUL SMELL of sewage, rotting death and moisty mould. Not a good place for an asthma and allergy family. It was a true Halloween-experience! The rental company was very helpful and found a wounderful, livable apartment in an other location of Venice. This was very nice but we still lost half a day of our holiday on moving.

The property was not reasonably clean, sanitary, or suitable for occupancy as represented. We arrived at approximately 2:20 PM, about 40 minutes before the scheduled 3:00 PM check-in. A gentleman at the property allowed us to leave our bags and told us the accommodation was not yet clean and to return in approximately 30 minutes. When we returned at approximately 4:00PM, the condition of the accommodation was unacceptable. There was visible dirt and grime throughout the property, the doors were visibly dirty, and the kitchen had significant grease/oil on it. There were a lot smashed mosquitoes all over the walls, ceiling, bathroom surfaces, and throughout the curtains. The bathroom was particularly unacceptable and had a strong odor resembling vomit. Because of the condition and odor, we did not feel comfortable using the shower. This was especially problematic because we were preparing for a 13-hour flight and specifically needed to shower before leaving. The blankets in the closet were also visibly dirty and appeared not to have been properly cleaned. We did not feel comfortable using them and therefore slept in our clothes. We remained at the property for the night only because we were traveling in a foreign country, had luggage with us, and did not have a practical alternative at that point. Staying overnight was not an indication that we accepted the condition of the accommodation. We had an early morning flight. This place was very unacceptable
