Un hotel muy lindo y tranquilo. Perfecto para relajarse y desconectarse de la ciudad. Habitaciones cómodas y la atención súper agradable. Definitivamente lugar para regresar.

fantastic
this place is extraordinary if you are looking for relaxation. there is no sound nor music on the site wich makes this place a really calm place to stay.
don't forget to plan your budget with an additionnal 15-40$ usd per meal since the nearby town is far.

Casa Cordoba Baru is a lovely place to visit for a quiet, relaxing break from everyday life. While the rooms are comfortable and clean, don’t go expecting luxury. This is a place to get away from it all. If you don’t enjoy just taking it easy and lounging, it may not be for you. The amenities at the resort are simple and there isn’t any place to go on Baru proper. But if you’re looking for ease and relaxation, I highly recommend it. My girlfriend and I would definitely visit again.

Very quiet place ‚at the end of the world‘. There is nothing around and fantastic to relax. The property is acceptable, however not luxury, even if the price may indicate it. Don‘t expect too much beach, it‘s just a small string. The food is far overpriced, ridiculous small and only average. There is no alternative around and this is clearly used, i don‘t like that. The drive to the location is an adventure as mentioned by many others.

Hi thought the property would be more special than it was for the price. It’s isolated, not in a good way. The food was way subpar for what you should get. The road is horrible and probably impassable when the rains come. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was the most disappointing.

If you are looking for somewhere to go that is remote, quiet and peaceful this is the place. We swam in the ocean all day, and read books on the beach. It is a really beautiful property that has converted 3 houses to individual hotel units. It is not fancy but it is very relaxing. The access is very limited so be prepared to eat on site, the other reviews are accurate, the food does not come quick, but you can order in advance and set the time you would like to eat. The staff were very nice and we really enjoyed our stay.

The moment you get off the taxi till the moment you are leaving, you will not need to lift a finger, you will be taken care off!!! Literally- they would not even let you care your own bags to the room. Instead they hand you a welcome drink :) If you are looking for a place with music and party - it will not be a place for you, but if you are looking for a quite remote place to disconnect, this is a perfect resort. Aura and Erwin (probably misspelling) make the most delicious drinks and treating everyone like VIP!!!

This is a very tranquil resort. The peace and quiet and beautiful beach and pool make it a wonderful respite from the loud and crowded beaches and tourist areas of Cartagena. It is really romantic to have cocktails and dinner on their pier.

Great services. Great food. Away from crowded hotels. For people that want to relax and want to stay in their hotel. The only problem was the road to enter to the hotel. It is very bumpy but you have other options.

2/10 Poor
26 September 2022
Worst experience I’ve had.
1. The property is very dated and in poor condition. From the two rooms I viewed you have wooden joinery that doesn’t shut properly (half and inch), allowing mosquitos and noise in freely.
2. The wooden decking around the pool and path is lifting and not fixed in places. You feel unsafe and fear for injury.
3. The pool was overly chlorinated and/or dirty.
4. The property faces the opposite way to the Caribbean. The outlook is murky brown water not blues associated with the Caribbean.
5. The basis for strict rules around noise became obvious in the evening. The construction is old and dated - I suspect no insulation so I was kept up by the neighbouring guests conversation into the early hours of the morning. The noise travels very easily and general talking is loud.
6. The beds have a header and footer with the bed less than six feet. If you’re taller you will definitely be lying diagonally. Separately the description references quality bedding - it’s not. Everything including the bedding is worn and dated down to the frayed edges on the blinds.
7. There is almost a compulsory taxi charge. The road can get flooded and muddy so you need an expensive SUV to be preordered to get you there.

The other review that said it was in the middle of nowhere is an understatement.it says 20 Miles and it really is but it took over 2 hours just to get there..the staff is super friendly but the property is at 80 years old..was room was as advertised because I had to share balcony with someone else who had already claimed it..my room bathroom and shower were not cleaned b4 they gave it to me...the beach water was brown in color which was very disappointing because I came for the blue water...flies and mosquitoes will eat you alive.. you have to pay for everything.. food was $20 for every meal.. bottled water supply by the hotel you have to pay for...if it rains you are not going anywhere because the road will be flooded in an instant so I prayed and stayed awoke that one night and left the next morning and they charged me $211 for that one night.. the only other way to leave is by boat and that cost between $300 - $400 one way... the door way windows were glass I mean real glass to get into your room you have to buy sideways
Really terrible experience

The best thing about this place is the employees. They were all so kind and helpful. It is REALLY remote. It felt a little scary when we drove in. Our driver did not know where to go. I would recommend taking a boat in instead. Definitely go to the aviary while you are here. Note: the water is not blue but it is nice and warm.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay at Casa Cordoba! Our host made communication a breeze through the use of the WhatsApp app. I could text her questions, food orders, etc right from my beach chair, which also mitigated any potential language barriers (though the staff communicated with my group in both Spanish and English). The food and drinks were excellent. Our host (I wish I could remember her name!) also helped us split various costs (food/drinks) six different ways, with group members paying different amounts in pesos and on cards- which could have been quite complicated but she was super patient and made it easy. Thank you Casa Cordoba Baru!! We would love to come back someday!
