5 of us. Stayed in a room for 6. We were comfortable. No tv, cell service or wifi but that allowed us to enjoy the rainforest. The staff was friendly. Highly recommend the rainforest night walk nearby. Would highly recommend Cape Trib beach house.

This is a fabulous property in a fabulous location. Its amazingly nice. The restaurant is very good, all meals were excellent, service great and it was great value. Given its remoteness and how expensive it must be to run an establishment here, we found everything to be surprisingly affordable.

A nice quiet retreat next to a beautiful beach and surrounded with amazing rainforest. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very small and basic for the price but luckily the surroundings made up for it.

An awful stay
We were not able to enjoy our 2 night stay and left after the first night. This is partly down to the weather with torrential rain adding to the humidity. The A/C in the room just could not get the room cool enough and our entire suitcase eof clothes ended up damp. We were not able to get a good night's sleep and opted to abandon our stay. The receptionist had little interest in our plight and no concern for our early departure or offer to change our room for one with better A/c. We may have been unlucky with the weather but I would still give this lodge a miss as they are disinterested in their guests. In our 60 day trip round Aus /NZ this was sadly our worst stay.

Property was very clean but much smaller than expected. No chair or table in the room. Parking is not possible right beside your cabin so, although it wasn’t too far, it was a bit of a struggle with all my luggage pushing it downhill on arrival and uphill when leaving in the cart provided. Great to have the private beach so close. Staff in the restaurant were outstanding.

Our stay was just perfect, the rooms were fairly basic as expected but clean and welcoming (the queen bed was super comfortable). We ran out of coffee and toilet paper but its only a short trip to reception/bar to put everything right. The resort is perfectly located, surrounded by rainforest and beach. Huts nestled into lush rainforest, Cape Tribulation Beach House is a real escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You are forced to disconnect from everything as there is no Wifi or even television. The restaurant serves a good variety of reasonably priced food and the pool is a refreshing dip under a green canopy. Pack earplugs though as the adjoining rooms can be a bit noisy.
