Went with my girlfriend in early September for a week. We had a great time and loved the place.
It's an idyllic rural retreat: so pretty with all the flowers, greenery, white walls, terracotta tiles and individually decorated rooms. It's also quite magical with the wandering tortoises, relaxed cats, occasional lizard, the horses and donkey.
Our room: the bed and pillows were super-comfy (good for someone like me with a bad back), and the room seemed to keep a decent ambient temperature (though the air-con was perfect when needed). There was plenty of storage space, and the room was cleaned well every day.
The communal kitchen was fully-fitted and the breakfast was fantastic: eggs cooked to order, some of the best pastries I've had, fresh fruit, yoghurt, espresso machine, assorted juices, bread, cheeses, hams and sausages, and cereals. My girlfriend has several allergies but they were happy to accommodate and advise on ingredients.
The staff were super-friendly and helpful. All very relaxed and informal. We texted Lawrence when we arrived late evening, and he came out to show us around and recommend places to visit. Thanks Lawrence - perfect suggestions!
We had worried there might be noise being so close to the airport (you can see the towers through the trees), but we barely noticed the planes at all (maybe a couple of times a day, if you were by the pool it sounded like a car was driving past, but otherwise we didn't hear a thing from our room). It was a peaceful stay.
