I recently had the opportunity to stay at Syon Park, a Hilton Hotel in Brentford, and unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a serious issue that I feel compelled to share.
The hotel itself was up to the usual Hilton standards—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, the parking situation left much to be desired. We followed the hotel's recommendation and parked in the nearby car park, which is not owned by Hilton. To our dismay, our car was broken into overnight.
After doing some informal investigation in the area, we discovered a disturbing amount of shattered glass littering the car park, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but rather part of a troubling pattern of vehicle break-ins. Thankfully, there were no valuables in our car, and nothing was taken, but we learned from hotel staff that there seems to be a gang operating in the vicinity.
Despite having signs urging guests to keep valuables out of sight, there was no prior warning about the risks of parking in that area or any advice on safer alternatives. The hotel management's response to our situation was disappointing; they appeared indifferent and offered minimal support.
For anyone considering a stay here, I strongly recommend thinking carefully about where to park. While the hotel offers a pleasant stay, the security concerns combined with the management's lack of engagement in addressing them have left me quite.
