Small and quainted compared to the large hôtel Rooms are nice and clean Wonderful location
Did not enjoy my stay here. The pub and restaurant was closed when I arrived at 6 pm (my main reason for booking this hotel) so I had to search for food out in the city. Not as centrally located as I previously thought. The keyhole made it difficult to open the door and I felt like I might be mugged while trying to enter the premises that night. Took nearly 10 minutes. The bathroom was atrocious. Weak lighting made putting on makeup a moot point and the sink's water pressure was delayed for several seconds before suddenly becoming a torrential downpour that flooded the bathroom floor. Twin bed was too small even for me (5'4 and 115 llbs) and not at all comfortable. Door slammed shaking the building. I've stayed at hostels in Eastern Europe that comparatively felt like the Ritz Carlton! 90 Euros seemed very steep for the lackluster accommodation. Best thing I can say was that the man who checked me in was nice.
Lovely place, we just had to buy earplugs. The noise from the road and the slamming doors kept us awake.
Arrived before check in and found early access confounding before we located an unmarked door with buzzer. We had a perfect supper in the pub downstairs and breakfast was served in a lovely room and Was very good. Location was excellent for our interests in center city area and bus access to and from the airport. Must be comfortable navigating stairs with luggage.
WE were very pleased with our room and the staff.Morris was a great host. We will stay there again and recommend the Pub to our friends. I will say the steps were a lot for us, the next time we will ask to be on the second floor.
The property was a bit different in that there is no lobby. We arrived early to a locked door but were quickly greeted by a staff member after ringing the doorbell. They gave us a place to store our luggage, allowing us to roam the city while our room was being prepared. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Good location - easy walk to many popular sights.
The Proprietor was friendly and efficient He ordered us the perfect cab to go to the airport
It's proximity to Dublin center. The pub facilities directly below. Lighting in room could improve not enough. Noisy if staying on the front of Pearse St. Request back of building if not partial to those disturbances. Impersonal but did not regret staying the 4 nights. Pricey but that's Dublin a beautiful city.
We had a wonderful 1st night stay here in Dublin. Morris, the owner, was extremely helpful and kind. The room was cute and we were able to find parking right across the street. Close walking proximity to the city centre and Temple Bar. I would def recommend.
The property has nice character on the outside and the rooms were comfortable. I didn’t like the sink with separate hot and cold faucets
