Clean and friendly
It’s an old building and tired in places. The floors are uneven and floors creek, but rooms were clean and beds were comfy. It’s what I expected for the price. Great location to the village and friendly staff.

We had a better stay than the last time we stayed as we had a noisey room lovely hot shower and a quieter room and the food is always nice.

6/10 Good

Bathroom fittings and fixtures were very tired and grubby with limescale and old age and not pleasant to use. The room was intensively hot all night and had a very thick duvet on the bed. I could not get the window open any further but it needed to be, to cool the room down. Staff were attentive and hotel was welcoming, it just needs an overhaul and refitted bathrooms

Traditional but a little tired
Very helpful and friendly staff. Room a little tired, overlooking a courtyard which was attractive but may have been irritating if people were talking while having drinks/smoking immediately outside the bedroom window. Had a meal which was very good. Bathroom was a little on the small side with a low ceiling so not great standing in the bath for a shower.

It is a solid 2 star hotel. No lift, some of the rooms are very claustrophobic and stuffy. It’s an old bldg so it’s expected but I had to check out early as there is no AC, they do provide a fan but I was unable to open my window as they were rehearsing for Hamelt until 1030PM some Of the evenings.

2/10 Poor

I paid but could not stay at the property, despite the fact that the staff was friendly and they tried to solve the issues. I had room no 18, which I do not recommend to anyone, especially to old persons or children due to safety issues. The floor was bumpy, the bed was not plane, it was inclined at approx 20° due to the floor, there was a huge crack on the ceiling and wall above the head of the bed, waiting to fall on the bed, the window was falling, could not stay open. Dim light inside. Overall it was a safety hasard. It was noisy and there was no elevator. The price was the same as at the nextdoor, very elegant & comfortable hotel The Old Bridge.

Lovely night away
We had a lovely time and very happy with our room and evening meal in the restaurant. The hotel needs a bit of talc on the decoration side.

C Rating, Poor Customer Service
It was comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. Our friends were charged twice for their room. They have called from the US to the hotel to discuss, hotel management are denying the double charge even though their credit card clearly shows a double charge. The hotel is not busy at all, probably reflecting lack of good service. We won't stay there again even though we travel to the area yearly.
