Great Hotel
We were very happy with the size of our room and the accommodations. The long counter with mirror beside the bathroom was very handy. We used the kitchen every day and it helped us save on our meal costs while we were in Washington for 5 days. The air conditioner was noisy at night cycling on and off so we turned it off and we were Comfortable. The bed was firm and very comfortable. We liked the Foggy Bottom neighborhood with the brick sidewalks and brick row houses. It was very handy to walk to the Metro and go wherever we wanted to go. We would stay there again.

had high hopes but not great
We were there to drop our son at school. Beautiful lobby with a really nice bar-that was closed. The room we booked was a king suite. Great views, but when we pulled out the sofa bed, there was a used Q-tip and there were rat glue traps under the bed which was alarming. The place needs updating. The area seems nice, but there were rats running everywhere after dark. Freaked me out.

GWU visit
Location was perfect. Everything was very comfortable. Great staff. Two issues- internet was spotty at times and one evening there was no hot water- it was warm at best. Otherwise perfect. Will definitely stay again

We have stayed at The River Inn before and were excited to be back. Certainly the building shows its age a bit, but the suite was clean and the staff was wonderful. Due to Covid 19, there was no maid service but staff provided new towels, sheets, coffee, etc. whenever requested. They couldn't have been more helpful.

The check in was very easy with a 24 hour staff helping you for any assistance. I loved the location of the River Inn allowing walking to the local grocery stores ,eateries especially during this difficult Virus time. The Metro station is convenient with a very short walk. I took the Metro to and from the Inn to Reagan International. The room was nice and I had a suite with a kitchen (microwave, Keurig with tasty coffee, creamer and artificial/sweet sugar, refrigerator, toaster and the amenities of dinnerware, dish soap and towels with forks and knives. The bath is equally accessorized with a hair dryer, soaps, conditioner, lotion and lots closet storage with a safe and a double bed. THE LG tv's are nice in two rooms. The couch is comfortable and an iron is available in a closet. Then there is a desk space should you need to work while there. I just cannot compliment the facility greater. I know the restaurant from breakfast has been shut temporarily but hopefully things will change. The neighborhood is cozy.

We loved our stay at the River Inn. The location was very convenient. The rooms were also more like little apartments, so they were much bigger and nicer than expected! The staff was very friendly and the hotel was well maintained.
