Although the hotel was nice and staff was very accommodating, we lost over an hour of time due to malfunctions in our room. First, the cable box was disconnected and we had to wait while the maintenance person figured out the problem. That included leaving our room and returning 20 minutes later. Later In the evening, we discovered our toilet had a partial clog. The front desk person came to our room and tried to plunge for a long time, to no avail. We were told we’d have to switch rooms. The gentleman had to leave for a while to make the switch/get new key. By the time we moved and settled in the second room, at least an hour had passed. I was discouraged that The Normandy did not offer a partial refund for the amount of inconvenience and lost time we experienced during our stay.
Great Spot! Awesome in every way!
Front desk service was good. None of the ice machines were working in the whole hotel. The espresso really wasn’t great and would’ve preferred a coffee maker instead. Bedding and room were nice. All in all a fine small boutique hotel. I’ll be returning.
The parking was
The customer service needs work.. this is a small boutique hotel in a great location. The room i had was small but comfortable. Best thing about it was the level of privacy. Once the door was closed you cant hear anything outside the door. Pets are allowed for an additional $25 a night.. parking is $40 a night.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Normandy Hotel is tucked away in a quiet area of DC and close to places to eat. The staff were marvelous: attentive, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is older and shows some sign of being tired; however, overall very clean. Beds were comfortable.
Parking is beyond a nightmare.
