Sonesta ES Suites Ann Arbor

We arrived to our suite and found a dishwasher full of someone else's dirty dishes. Called the front desk- they do not have or provide dishwasher detergent but gave us regular dishsoap and a sponge. We did not think it was sanitary to be washing other people's dishes by hand, especially during COVID times, so we went out and bought our own dishwasher detergent. Also they do not provide any cream for in-room coffee. Called the front desk to inquire and they stated they do not provide cream even for purchase. We bought some at a grocery store. On the bright side- the bed was very comfortable and our suite was spacious. We stayed with our 4-month old baby and appreciated the blackout curtains and bedroom door so she could nap well. It was also extremely quiet. We were in town to visit family and staying in the hotel waiting for our family's negative COVID results. The wait was a few days longer than we had anticipated, and they were very flexible about us extending our stay on a day-by-day basis and not having to move rooms. We appreciated all the precautions for COVID- limited access to the lobby with masks required, plastic shields up and floor markings for social distancing. The windows in the suite opened so we could have fresh air too. Nice in general and especially good to air things out from previous guests. They wait 24 hrs after checkout before anyone goes in to clean. They are taking things seriously which made us feel comfortable.

Well upon arriving our bathroom had a big spot out of the drywall. We had food crusted to the cabinet and to the counter. The dishes in the dishwasher were all dirty. They could at leasr run it and then let us run it. Thats gross. I called the day prior to ask for a play pen. The manager was like well i didnt talk to u. I called at 654 pm and spoke with a lady that had an accent. Needless to say, i called 2 hrs later because they said they had to clean it. Im not sure why u dont clean it after each use. I called front desk and they delivered it to wrong room. I got told that the king suite had an oven which it didnt. I also had a 1 bedroom suite as well that didnt have oven. The ppl 3 doors down kept going in and out of doors by stairs which then my child couldnt sleep. Sounded and smelled like marijuana. I will never stay here again. Residence inn was much nicer

I was a little confused at first because the hotel is actually an old apartment building. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was there. Our room was extremely clean the decor was up-to-date and there was a ton of room for us. I loved our rooms location the pool was right outside with a really nice sitting area.

It was fine. Nice staff handling covid conditions well. There were some rowdy people there at night one night - loud and the parking lot, having a party or something - but this is hardly the fault of the property because you are asked to sign a no party agreement at check in. The rooms are clean and updated.

Check in was miserable, went to our 2 bedroom apartment to find it completely disgusting at the worse time Covid-19, found several belongings from last guests. I don't know if they had Coronavirus. When we made the front desk aware she was uncaring and smart mouthed. It took over an hour to get into another room on my sisters birthday weekend.

Will gladly come back to stay, loved the spacious rooms (loft room in particular) and it was a great price for what you're getting.
