Brittany lies in the northwest of France, with a rugged coastline bordering the English Channel to the north, and the Celtic Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The region is one of the more popular seaside holiday destinations in France – it has more than 2,860 km of coastline, as well as 800 islands and islets.
