I would not call this hotel a resort, it has the feel of a family owned business most of the times you have to find the "front desk" person with the ring of a bell. This hotel is located on the top of a very steep hill, the last stretch took about 8 min. it was very exhausting to reach the hotel and then there are stairs. the breakfast had to be ordered the day before, with exact time and specifics on juice and coffee etc. since there are only 3 choices you end up eating the same pre-fixed breakfast which is not really enough food, even our coffee cups were only half full (1/pp) any additional cup is 450 yen. the use of the spa also needs to get booked but at least you will get 45 min of private use, however upon check out they demanded 300 yen "spa tax" for each usage which was never disclosed at any point and we refused to pay as we already paid more than $450 a night. The hotel also does not offer any shuttle service or any other services, only one staff member could speak some English, hence they were not much help with directions or any other helpful tips. Our room did have a nice view of town and the jetted round bathtub was amazing, but that did not make up for all the many shortcomings like they said free minibar which was two bottles of water, the couch was stained / dirty, the heat / air regulation was poor, the build of the hotel or windows is poor hence you hear all guests and street noise / construction. I would not command this place.
