Lovely town, a nice change of pace to the hustle and bustle of the city life we experienced in Tokyo. The deer and their bowing were a particular favorite of our group's, and the beautiful scenery and parks with the cherry blossoms were perfect.

Nara is a historic city which has a lot of temples and shrines. She also has beautiful natural beauty which can make city drillers feeling relaxed. The local people are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come to visit Nara again

I prefer Nara over Kyoto simply because there are less crowds and I find that Nara has a much deeper history. The many museums and shrines really make it a special experience to visit.

Nara is a lovely place to stay. Much nicer at night time as the majority of tourists come for a day trip form Osaka or Kyoto. The park is lovely and the key draw but there are lots of other things to do nearby so you could easily stay a few days.

It is not as crowded as the Kyoto area. Still, many of their oldest wooden structures and statues exist. It is a great location to learn about the ancient Ikaruga city. Lots of UNESCO helitage sites.

I think the deer stole the show but there are many good places to visit in and around Nara
"The property was very convenient to stay in, walkable distance from nearly everything one could want. It's basically in the heart of Osaka with some good entertainment spots like Dottonbori right by. Having the 24/7 convenience story inside the hotel was so useful. Staff was also always readily available!"
"The staff was very friendly, and the property was very clean.
The food options at the restaurants mainly catered to the Japanese palate. Only crossaints and the fruits were inticing to my palate.
Thank God for Shake Shack.

"I loved my stay in Osaka at the Monterey property. It was clean and all of the amenities were in the room. The beds were softer but still firm. The pillow was good. Aside from the stopping at the 2nd floor (reception) I couldn’t be happier with my stay. Right next to underground entrance. Next to a great Wagyu place"
"This is not the first time we stay in this hotel. It’s modern, close to subway stations and lots to restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay in this hotel again."
"Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The front desk was very kind and helped us with information and with luggage dispatch to our next destination. The bedroom was really good and spacious. Three minute walk from Kyoto station, so it was good to arrive and leave with Shinkansen and also to move around the city with train and subways. "
