Oakham- sleepy town. Fabulous curry house Saipur on the corner just along from the Long stay. Parking Free after 6 & on Sundays. Fantastic record shop in the Maltings called Rockabuy Records. I could have spent hours chatting music

Similar to Stamford, lovely shops and some great buildings. Went to the castle with the horseshoes, the guy on the front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. Was great to be able to take the dog in.

Wonderful town. Visited Oakham Castle and yhe museum - both definitely worth a visit. Walks around Rutland water were great

The resort was very well maintained. The local area is very quiet with some lovely towns such as Oakham and Stamford. There is also Burghley House which is worth a visit. You can walk or cycle around Rutland water

Area is a hidden gem. Easily access from A1. Stamford nearby, also a gem.
"Great service & excellent location. We were visiting family and wanted to be accessible to the city centre & King Richard visitor centre which is just a short 5 mins walk from the hotel. "
"A great overnight stay at this hotel. Had a space themed family room - loved it! The decor was amazing, from the galaxy wallpaper, to the plough constellation on the ceiling and the seperate bunk bed pod. Fabulous! "
