Good
We appreciated that the stores and restaurants are open 7 days a week unlike Lake Placid which is annoying if you are not visiting on a weekend. The shopping options are minimal but the restaurants are very good. Lovely alternative to L.P.

Well worth a visit but I wouldn't want to be there in mid summer as it is heaving according to restaurant servers. And noisy. Off season i5 is beautiful and a gateway to wilderness lakes.

Booked here one night to go to the Mystery Murder Dinner at Saranac Hotel and to see the Ice Palace. It's a beautiful area; we have been here many times.

"Good old fashion hotel. Thanks for the free upgrade with kitchen for long stay. Service was great very simple place in a centered location for Adirondack region"
"We had four people staying at this place for two days. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They assisted us with check-in and provided a simple yet complete breakfast with everything we needed.
We arrived very late on the first day—almost midnight—after a 6-hour drive from New Jersey. We didn’t realize the check-in time was between 3 PM and 8 PM, but we called them a few times to make sure we could still get the keys. As promised, we were able to access our room and had a great night.
Overall, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay."
"Our stay at Prescott House was a delight. The house is unique, cozy, and welcoming! The onsite manager was friendly and available, and we had everything we needed. The large bathrooms are shared, but the doors can be locked for quick showers, and there are also a few private half-baths (and one private shower) scattered throughout the building. Our room was a little bit musty and had not been updated like some of the other rooms, but it was clean and very affordable and met all our needs. We appreciated the coffee station and porches, the window a/c unit for the hot nights, the opportunity to meet other guests, and the fascinating history of the house. I would be glad to return. Thank you!"
"Very nice room. Clean and quiet. Had dinner in the restaurant and the continental breakfast in the morning. Would recommend and would stay again. Pretty views of the lake."
