Very cool old historic building. Great atmosphere. Nothing fancy but nice. Very helpfull, for example they stored my bicycle in the garage as it was raining. I had no problem with the shared bathroom/shower as they were always empty. A short walk/bike ride from the Adirondack rail trail.

Please be aware. This 122 year old facility has a community/shared bathroom, not a bathroom in each room as typical in today's hotels. This means you may have to wait for another guest to finish in the bathroom before you get your turn. Carpets need replacement. Some renovations are in progress. Rooms are clean, but small. Staff was accommodating. Parking was fine.

John was kind enough to bring me a fan so temperature was cool at night. I saw many of the rooms that I would have preferred over mine. Great location for doing lots of exploration and very quiet, which I appreciated. I did not care for the basement kitchen area but I used it anyway. I booked through Expedia and found their cost high.

Wonderful old building that has had many previous uses, and now rents out guest rooms at a very affordable rate. Well maintained, and the owner lives on-site and is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend as a great alternative to more expensive chain hotel or resort rooms.
