Midcentury modern meets Savannah: 4/5 would return
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Alida because we are pretty easy to please but it wasn’t without some issues. Pros: - delectable scent greets you in lobby. The Alida’s signature candle is available for purchase in gift shop. - city view is spectacular - mid century modern concept extends throughout the hotel from the rooftop bar to their restaurant, Rhett - rooftop bar service is wonderful and the view was breathtaking - no valet because of covid but the valet attendees still assisted with getting us to and from our car - front desk was always manned and employees were cordial and helpful Cons: - service at the Rhett was SO bad. We were told to sit in a corner where our server promptly forgot about us for 5 minutes. Sensing she might not be able to see us, we moved tables. She then passed us up and down for another 6.5 minutes before mustering a weak “I’ll be with you in one second”. We were then brought one breakfast menu and one dinner menu (it was 10 am). The restaurant only had perhaps 5 other tables and there was a male server as well. My overhard eggs came out over easy. It was just a bad experience. - the signature candles are not available for purchase online. In this digital age, there is no reason one should have to travel back to a hotel just to get a single candle. - the sound quality of the rooms were so bad. We could hear every door opening and shutting, people walking, etc. which let us know they could easily hear us.

    Fantastic fantastic stay!!!
It was an incredible incredible stay!!! The Alida was beyond our best expectations especially during COVID. The hotel is new (2018) and the vibe is great. Staff were all extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. They made our stay unforgettable as we got married in Savannah. We’ll be back annually to celebrate and will definitely be staying at The Alida each time. I would highly recommend.

    Poor 2.0
    24 hour construction
There was continuous 24 hour construction across the street making sleeping impossible. The hotel knew about this and should have warned me in advance but did not.

    Gorgeous Hotel, Outstanding Customer Service
Every inch of this hotel is beautiful, clean, and in excellent condition. Customer service is impeccable. Front Desk: Jessica and Alex went above and beyond to take care of all our needs no matter what time of day (or night). Roof Top Bar: Kelsey always had a smile for us and I believe the word "no" is not in her vocabulary. The location could not be better.

great place to stay in Savannah
I can’t remember having stayed at a hotel anywhere and having no complaints or disappointments of any kind. Kudos to the entire Alida staff!

    Very Good 8.0
Beautiful hotel with a few caveats
The Hotel and staff are impeccable. The location is also excellent. Fitness Center, restaurant and rooftop bar are all very good. One concern is the lack of available coffee in the mornings before 6: 30am. There is no coffee maker in the rooms. As a business traveler that must leave early in the mornings , even an airpot of coffee at the front desk would be helpful. Also look out for the high parking and resort charges as these are comparable to New York or San Francisco (not Savannah)

    Beautiful Atmosphere
The Alida was amazing! We enjoyed the beautifully modern atmosphere with a perfect view of the bridge and river. The staff were kind, the food at the restaurant was too-notch, and we only wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!!

Great Hotel & Exceptional Fitness Center
The hotel was beautiful and the fitness center was the nicest I’ve seen in any hotel (which is saying a lot because I stay in 4-5 star hotels every month, for several nights).

    Stayer Beware, Charm Hides Flaws
Late arrival, door’s locked. Fine. Ring bell to have someone at front desk 50-feet away hold up hand as if we’re to use a room key (which we don’t have) to enter. Eventually someone let’s us in. But not a great start. Checkin was straightforward except no breakfast vouchers were provided. Went to room to freshen up and head out. Single use bottles in shower were not full, one half empty; others less so. Standing water in ice bucket. The following morning at breakfast we asked about what’s included. I was sent to front desk for vouchers. Had to wait about 10 min at 9:00am to get vouchers. Great. Service was painfully slow in restaurant, but the food was good. A couple beside us had a problem with their bill. We checkout and leave. Done deal, or so I thought. We were charged for a minibar item we didn’t use. I called two days later to have it removed. Guy at hotel was polite and said they’d review it. I’m posting this review before finding out if they fixed my bill. If we were friends and you asked about this hotel, I’d say it was charming but stay elsewhere (as I recently advised a close friend interested in visiting Savannah). At nearly every touchpoint they failed. When I told the gentleman about the room condition (as context for the minibar expense) he told me I should’ve raised my concerns earlier. We left our key on the front desk because of the line to checkout. Was I to spend another 10 minutes to complain about shampoo and body wash?
