Moon Hill is in an excellent location, near the bus and train stations. I even used it for a base to visit Lisbon. My large and warm solo room was quiet, and the kitchen very useful.

Right from check in, we were greeted with a nice friendly staff member who told us about the amenities. The whole place was very clean and had a nice look to it. The morning breakfast was simple but was a nice touch to have some food before heading out for the day. Great location, we found nearby street parking and walked everywhere. We’d definitely stay here again!

Location can’t be beat!
The only thing I regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We stayed 2 full days in Sintra, but it wasn’t enough. The hostel was clean, people friendly. Would definitely return.

Best bargain in town
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Would have been helpful if they told us at check in that we each need to wash dry and put away our own dishes. Many people just left a big mess. Also very crowded at breakfast having to wait long time between 8:30 and 9:30. Clear then.

Go to a hotel
Not sure why this is so highly rated. It’s a hostel with hotel prices. I paid $70 which did include a private bath but no Wi-Fi in the room and no soap or shampoo. Breakfast was ok. Would not stay here again I’d rather go to a hotel with better amenities.

Was not a big fan of the Jovy early CheckIn requirement. When I received the email nothing links it to MoonHill Hostel aside from the address. Which lets face it, no customer really memorizes in their head. So I thought it was a scam. I know I booked a hostel which would usually have a 24/7 receptionist so I’ wondering why I am getting emails to checkin online to get a key code to get in my room. It was an unnecessary worry in the middle of my travel. The Hostel itself is decent and staff was friendly. They explained to me what the Jovy thing is. My only complain is that bathroom light is motion sensored so it goes off even if you are not yet done using the bathroom - it just can get really annoying. But overall pretty good experience. Location is really great.
