Poor 2.0
Terrible
I haven’t stayed in such an uncomfortable accommodation in Tokyo and I was not expecting to find one like that in Gent for sure. Ridiculously tiny, no amenities and full of stags visiting the colourful show in the vicinity, so prepare to have your sleep interrupted either for guests coming in and out or from the traffic. No sound proofing whatsoever. Never again.

A very good budget hotel that will get even better
We arrived by bus at 10pm. The bus stop was about 1 km away from the hotel and although we had a map the position of the hotel made it hard to find. Plus it is mainly a commercial area. We have been told, and can also see evidence, of the regentrification of the surroundings. More on the good side once you are in the property all changes. It is warm, clean and comfortable. The staff is generous with help. There is a continental breafast on offer for an extra charge plus a comprehensive selection of snacks and drinks. Plenty of communal space for reading, eating or watching TV. The rooms are smallish but quite comfortable once the luggage is tucked under the bed. There is also secure parkikng on site at an extra charge. About a 15 minute flat walk will bring you to the centre of the old town with plenty to look at and do. All in all good value.

Not bad.
Clean, comfortable budget hotel with good parking facilities, reasonable breakfast & adequate wi-fi. Areas for improvement - water pressure in the shower and the seat/ desk needs to be higher to prevent back ache.

Unreservedly recommend this hotel
Great budget hotel to stay whilst exploring the beautiful city of Ghent, of which the centre is less than 20 mins walk away via charming streets. Staff extremely helpful & courteous, and the ingenious 3rd bed system makes it an economical stay when you are a family of 3. Plus there is parking in the basement at a very reasonable rate - what is not to like?

The hotel was excellent; the surrounding area rather dreary. The view from the room was not too bad
