I feel truly bad only giving this place 3 stars as almost the entire experience was amazing! Love the concept & amenities, super clean, so many fire pits so you felt like you were roasting your marshmellows for your complimentary s'mores in your own little world. But given this was a sleeping accommodation and we were not able to sleep any, I just cannot rate it at 5 stars. For the most part, everyone at the campground got the memo that this is a peaceful, connecting with nature experience....except for the tent of people right beside us and their friends who were staying two tents down from us. The people stayed out on their deck beside us talking in full volume voices until almost daylight and the friends walked between the two tents, up and down the gravel paths (crunch, crunch, CRUNCH) so many times that I wouldn't be surprised if Firelight had to dump more gravel in the ruts of the paths after their stay. My husband and I were so sleep deprived by the next morning that when we checked out, we just drove home and cancelled the plans we had made for that day (very disappointing as that was the whole reason we were in the area looking for accommodations to begin with). We have stayed at similar "glamping" experiences previously and those organizations maintained the quiet hours much more successfully than Firelight (as we never heard anyone go to the tent and ask them to quiet down). Such a wonderful experience that turned very disapointing. :(
