4/10 Fair

Not what is advertised stay at your own risk
I would not have originally booked this reservation, but based upon the reviews, it looked like a decent place to stay. We have a very well behaved support animal and needed a pet friendly place to stay. Well the rate of the room was very affordable unfortunately it was not worth it. We paid an extra $20 fee per night for the dog the room we were given smelt like wet dog, dog, urine, and the bed was not comfortable and the mattress was old with definite wear marks and reeked of old body odor. The curtains were torn up from previous dogs as well as urine stains left on the walls. The heating unit was very loud and obnoxious even on low. It was a very low priced economy room. There was an offering of a free breakfast. The person monitoring the room was very rude and not accommodating and acted as if we were a bother when asking for milk and was told there was none available for our coffee. I would not recommend this place. It needs a new owner to clean up the rooms or higher, friendly or staff that care about this place that could have a lot of potential. I would only stay here in a pinch if there’s no other place to stay in Cle Elem.

Waking up to a White Christmas...
Quick trip out of town to be closer to the Mountains for a Christmas Hike - great location off the freeway - close to store, coffee, etc.

Christmas stay
Room was great. Large with lots of extras. Comfy chair, double sinks, refrigerator, microwave, desk. My favorite, crispy sheets. Would definitely stay there again. Great location, across the street from MacDonalds and Safeway which has a Starbucks. VERY REASONABLE PRICE

2/10 Poor

Despicable
This was by far the worst over night stay I have ever had. Pros: sheets and bathroom were clean. Cons: Drawers were all gross and had previous guest trash and belongings in them. Lamp looked like it was about to fall over. Curtains were in a ragged state of disgust. Tv would automatically turn to Seinfeld every 30 mins. Coffee pot was stained due to lack of cleaning and care I imagine. Neighbors who were in a no pet room had a dog who was barking all hours. Smoking right out front of the door. Open your door and people just leaning against the wall smoking right there. No amount of money is worth this. We got in late on Thanksgiving and didn’t have much other choice but to stay at that point as everyone was booked. We stayed in room 202.
Lamp broken and about to fall over
Broken luggage rack.
Past guest belongings in drawers.
Trash from past guest in end table drawer

Nice place for quick stay!
Last minute emergency stay needed. Great rate. Older property, but still comfortable. Quiet area, didn’t see any transients around. Felt safe even though each room is an outdoor entrance. Close enough to walk to Starbucks, Wendy’s, Safeway. Offered breakfast, but I did not use that service. Allowed me an extra hour for check-out as I was waiting for tow-truck. Would recommend it.

Cle Elum
The room was clean, heat/air is a balancing act but was able to adjust it. Staff, well talk to the same guy the times needed. Very helpful and pleasant. Need to fix the bathroom window so it locks. Our room was on the 2nd floor so not a huge sakety issue, but... Overal a pleasant stay.

We had our dog and we were able to enjoy the Larch trees on a nice hike in the area. Cle Eum is a good place to stay overnight when you are too old to camp but still want to spend the day in the woods and enjoy a small town at night
