The Ibis Hotel

The Ibis Hotel in Rio De Janeiro has mosquitos in my Hotel room I paid for. I was bitten by mosquitoes many times. The other Ibis Hotel near the Airport also had mosquitos in the Hotel lobby.

cleaning of the rooms leaves something to be desired, very dirty elevators, air conditioning leaking water on the floor of the room and the shower door does not close properly, causing a risk of falling.

The staff was not friendly. They did not let us check in even forty minutes before the official check-in time. We only needed the room for three hours, and that forty minutes would have been a big help since I had a video call at work. I ended up taking the call in their restaurant, as the lobby just had one couch, which was already taken. There were two desks as well. One was occupied, and they were so close to the reception and distracting.

Sugiro modernização e manutenção.

Hotel padrão Ibis, mas a propriedade precisa passar por uma modernização e providenciar manutenções nas instalações. Quarto disponibilizado no checkin apresentava pia entupida, cofre inoperante, vazamento no ar-condicionado, telefone inoperante. Solicitamos outro quarto e fomos atendidos, mas o cofre permaneceu inoperante e a pia ainda que não estivesse entupida o escoamento era lento e demorado causando barulho durante algum tempo durante a noite. Pontos positivos: funcionários educados e prestativos; Wi-Fi de boa qualidade; televisão com ótima imagem e qualidade e variedade de canais; café da manhã satisfatório. A região é um pouco deserta durante a noite. Do outro lado da avenida tem um shopping Center com boa variedade de lojas e praça de alimentação.

Infelizmente tive problemas com muito mofo nas suítes, pedi troca e ainda assim fui para outra suíte com mofo... Quando falei novamente, trocaram para uma nova suíte sem mofo. Mas o estrago já estava feito, muita alergia, dor de cabeça e outros sintomas já haviam aparecido. Até perguntei se haviam tido problemas com vazamentos... se não me engano, ouvi falarem que outros hospedes também estavam insatisfeitos... quartos com mofo nas peredes, rodapés, porta, almofada do sofá, até no corredor dava para ver problemas com madeira inchada pela água, etc... Parecia ter feito uma "reforma" rápida, mas não eficiente, pois se não secar toda fonte de umidade, o mofo retorna nos gessos, etc... Tinham marcas de massa corrida e tinta, só que as manchas de mofo, partes em madeira inchadas pela água, mostravam o problema. A limpeza também deixou a desejar... Não consegui anexar as fotos.
