Good for business travel

The Guanabara is a very good hotel in Rio. It is in the Center and the business district. Clean and nice facilities. The only negative is it is a long way from the tourist district, if you are interested in taking advantage of any of the tour companies or famous beaches.

Hotel is just okay, we needed a place closer to the airport for one night and so this place worked for that. Price was reasonable and rooms are spartan, but you get what you pay for, nothing to complain about. I would not stay here more than one night as there is nothing to do in Centro and you would be constantly going back and forth to other parts of the city.

Hotel was clean but very dated. It was like stepping back to the 80s. Although there is a tram stop nearby, the area is not very safe at night time. Reception staff weren't very welcoming. Not sure what makes this a 4* hotel.

Demora no Check in absurda

Em 18/04/2025, me hospedei no Hotel Windsor Guanabara. Fui muito bem atendida pelos funcionários, que foram gentis e permitiram que eu deixasse minha mala no hotel antes do horário do check-in. Saí para almoçar e, ao retornar, fui surpreendida por uma imensa fila para a realização do check-in. Esperei 1 hora e 15 minutos na fila para conseguir me hospedar — um tempo completamente absurdo, especialmente considerando que se trata de um hotel bem conhecido. Quanto à hospedagem em si, as cobertas do quarto eram antigas e com pelos. O edredom, em especial, estava visivelmente velho, o que não condiz com a estrutura e o padrão que o hotel deveria oferecer. Em contrapartida, a limpeza e a arrumação do ambiente estavam boas. Outro ponto negativo foi a tranca da porta do quarto, que não funcionava adequadamente, gerando insegurança. Apesar desses problemas, o hotel possui ótima localização — próximo a estações de metrô, pontos turísticos, à rodoviária e ao aeroporto, o que facilita bastante o deslocamento. Infelizmente, pelo valor pago na hospedagem, considero inaceitável a demora excessiva para o check-in, o que demonstra uma grande falta de respeito com o cliente.

Hotel bom mas alguns pontos a serem melhorados!

Opinião sincera!: Hotel muito bem estruturado, quarto luxo muito bom, espaçoso e extremamente confortável. Hidromassagem boa, não funcionou no 1º dia, mas solicitei um funcionário para averiguar e fui atendida no 2º dia. Localização: Quem não se importa em ir para a zona sul (Copacabana, Ipanema etc) ok. Agora no meu caso achei longe, cerca de 20 minutos do hotel.. peguei Uber o tempo todo, e os valores oscilam muito! O hotel fica próximo ao museu do amanhã e percebi que ao redor tem mais passeios culturais mesmo. Também há o aeroporto Santos Dumont por perto, inclusive vc consegue ver os aviões decolando..Atenção aos redores, há muitos moradores de rua e as ruas são um pouco sinistras e desertas. PONTO NEGATIVO: Um conselho: não vá em feriado. Fui fazer check in e pasmem: quase 1:30h NA FILA! Check in extremamente LENTO, fila imensa, o que me gerou chateação, nunca me ocorreu isso! Recepcionistas mau humorados! Os garçons, manobristas e funcionários da limpeza parabéns. Sempre com sorriso no rosto e muito educados/ solícitos. Café da manhã: Muito bom e variado! Pães, bolos, sucos, frutas e cereais variados, e adorei a panqueca com chocolate! Senti falta de um capuccino mas no geral ok. Recomendo o hotel fora de feriado, e pra quem precisa ficar ali nas proximidades do centro realmente.. apesar de muito bom, eu não voltaria devido a localização que para mim ficou longe e também ao trauma do check in.
