Recommend to couples
Stayed in the pool villa for 3 nights with my partner and was an amazing experience. Staff were so caring and helpful. Food wasn’t the greatest for the breakfast buffet but apart from that everything else was perfect. Recommend the beauty for two package for the massage as was so romantic with the bath overlooking the Forrest. Definitely coming back with my girl!

Declining rapidly
I’ve stayed here many times over the last ten years and I’m surprised by the decline of the hotel. Ceiling leaking during a rain storm. In order to get warm water I was advised to let the tap run for 15 minutes which is so wasteful. Rooms are run down and over all the hotel is not clean. The staff is still friendly and nice but they don’t have much to work with sadly. This will be my last stay at the Lokha Ubud.

For the price, it wasn’t much better than basic priced hotels. Room was nice, gym was terrible, spa was overpriced, and the food was average. Also an awkward location that means you have to spend lots of money on taxis if you want to travel into ubud.

The staff did a good job at remembering my name during my stay and my birthday. The hotel food is limited and okay at best for the price. The food at the luxury hotel in the village is much better and top notch. I did not smell cleaning supplies at anytime during my stay; instead smelled urine in the bathroom around the base of the toilet that has never been cleaned and sanitized. The smell in the property bathrooms is very bad. Do not book the hotel tours; the service is lack luster. I had one driver be sexually inappropriate during my tour of Ubud and expected me to pay for his meals after paying 900,000 rupiah for the tour. I was charged 1,000,000 rupiah for the Uluwatu tour even though the listed cost is 900,000 rupiah. The driver seemed as if he was uninterested in taking me to the places I was most interested in. Do yourself a favor a find a local driver who will be kind and take you on a tour. Overall, I was disappointed in my stay. The hotel looks nice in pictures but is unsanitary to my standards.
