"There was a construction on the property and tons of noise all around the pool area so definitely a big negative. The pool is not as good and nice as in the pictures and there is no ocean to swim at ...that goes with all hotels in Seminyak. There are good beaches at Nusa dua area only. So beach lovers should avoid this town. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The food at the restaurants were not good at all ( all restaurants)and I actually got the bally belly from the raw chicken which ended up under IV. Good thing the hotel has its own doctor. Nice property overall but going from US was definitely not worth it. Nothing special about anything in the hotel to impress me or my family."
"The plunge cool outside our room was very cold and there was lots of mosquitoes at night. Otherwise it was pleasant room with queen the staff were lovely."
"We stayed at the hotel for 5 days as a family and loved our stay! It was peaceful, clean, serves delicious breakfast, has wonderful staff and is a beautiful property. Would happily recommend it to others."
"Probably the most opulent hotel we have stayed in as a family.
Everybody is super friendly.
Booked a Twin Ocean View Room but upgraded to Ocean Front Suite after 2 nts as 1st room just wasn't big enough for 2A & 2C, even though sold as room for 4. It only had 2 beds, 2 cups, 2 glasses, 2 towel sets etc but can apparently accommodate extra 2C (small) sharing. In our case this didn't work. Negotiated extra 1.5M IDR/nt x 5 nts for upgrade & we still had to have 2 extra beds. Suite double the size of other room but still only sleeps 2 (King).
The hotel was stunning.......like you were in a Balinese Spa everywhere you went with waterfalls and water features throughout the premises. Stunning sea view from the lobby balcony. Pool area is beautiful and never any problems getting a poolside bed for the day, even when we were a party of 7 after our NZ friends arrived. Step on to the rear footpath and there's easy access to the local (public) beach where you can indulge in watersports, the only downside being approached by several watersports sellers trying to talk you into jet ski's, giant floaties etc but you'll find the hard sell everywhere you go anyways so you get used to it.
The food in the hotel is exceptional.
Breakfast absolutely the best part of the day & breakfast in the main restaurant Azure (I think) better than the breakfast in the other restaurant Spice - same food but more options etc in the main restaurant.
Superb holiday!"
"We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Seminyak. The hotel was exceptionally clean, with fantastic facilities that made our stay both comfortable and relaxing.
The staff were outstanding—always warm, friendly, and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their genuine hospitality really made our experience memorable.
The location is another major highlight. It's within easy walking distance or a short ride to many of Seminyak's main attractions, including great restaurants, shopping, beach clubs, and the beach itself, making it the perfect base to explore the area.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, outstanding service, and a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return on our next trip to Bali. Highly recommended!"
"This is our second stay within 2 years at Desa Potato Head. Everything about the hotel is top class, esp the service that is a world apart. On the margin, the hotel needs a bit of touch up and needs to get back their full poolside menu, which was superb."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Bali
Book for the cheapest times: The best time to visit Bali on a budget is during February, March, and November, when hotel prices are lower. To fully appreciate the island's significant landmarks, historical sites, and natural attractions, a stay of at least 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to explore the rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes Bali has to offer, making it a great value for money experience. With prices potentially dropping during these months, it's an ideal opportunity for those seeking an affordable getaway.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals in Bali, you may visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you could find discounted rates on hotels nearing your travel date. Enabling email alerts or push notifications could also help you stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss potential savings. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a useful comparison tool available through the app, allowing you to compare hotel prices and amenities. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you’re more likely to be the first to know, making your last-minute getaway easier.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at a hotel in Bali. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest more affordable dates, which could help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities in Bali offers undeniable convenience, yet it often comes with a heftier price tag. While central locations provide easy access to local attractions, they are typically more costly. In contrast, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to be affordable, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious travellers. For better rates, consider accommodations slightly outside the city centre; this may necessitate additional travel to reach key sites, but it can be well worth the savings. Alternatively, exploring nearby cities can uncover a wealth of experiences while offering more budget-friendly options.
Best time to go to Bali
Bali has a varied climate due to its size, so the best time to visit depends on the region and your preferences for weather and crowds. The peak travel months to visit Bali are January, June, and July, which see a higher number of tourists. During this peak period, the weather is mostly cloudy, accompanied by light to frequent rainfall. In contrast, August, October, and November are ideal if you're looking for a calmer vacation, marked by no to moderate rainfall and mostly sunny to mostly cloudy conditions.
