Wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was amazing - everyone from the valet and front desk to the rooftop restaurant employees was incredibly friendly and welcoming, as was the breakfast server in the restaurant in the lobby. We had a very pleasant stay at the Kimpton Gray Hotel and particularly enjoyed staying in one of the suites. For anyone coming to Chicago for the Chicago Marathon, the location is excellent. The hotel is close to both the start and finish areas, and it is also conveniently positioned along the course, which makes it a great base for friends or family who want to cheer during the race. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always available whenever we needed assistance, which made the stay feel very welcoming. Another advantage is the convenience on the ground floor: there is a Starbucks, a healthy smoothie shop, and an Italian restaurant. We would recommend making a reservation at the Italian restaurant before heading there for dinner, as it can get busy. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a great location, especially for marathon weekend.

The hotel is beautiful with so many bars and restaurants nearby. About 4 -5 blocks from Millenium Park. The seating areas are so peaceful and the design is amazing. They let me store my bike box the day before my stay which was so convenient. Staff are friendly and professional.

Stayed 4 nights. Liked the property very centrally location everything walkable, it has a rooftop restaurant, it has a breakfast place, it is an older building but beautifully maintained. They have a 5pm social where you can join the guests and have drinks and light snacks. The management team is helpful. They also have fineness center. The area felt safe and hotel has security. For in room coffee or tea you need to ask for the set.
