Dining options range from casual student favourites to upscale restaurants along Wilshire Boulevard, with a notable concentration of Persian eateries. Though parking can be tricky, the area is wonderfully walkable with excellent bus connections to greater Los Angeles. Accommodation vary from luxury high-rises to boutique properties perfect for university visitors.

Loews Hollywood Hotel
"Had had a good time at this hotel. Loved the amenities."
Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles International Airport North
"very large room good breakfast convenient access to lax"
The Biltmore Los Angeles
"The Biltmore is absolutely beautiful, and has so much classic charm. You can tell that they sometimes have trouble keeping up with the maintenance of such a large, historic building covered with architectural detail and art as it ages, but it’s still well worth staying at regardless. The staff were all lovely, and they kindly upgraded us to a suite in honor of my wife’s birthday. It was enormous and very nice, and it was fun to feel so fancy! My only complaint was the noise coming from the seemingly constant, booming sound checks across the street at Pershing Square, which looks like they’ve turned into an outdoor music venue instead of a park with playgrounds. Disappointing, especially with a young child. However, the experience of the hotel itself was great! Would definitely stay again."
Hotel Figueroa, Unbound Collection by Hyatt
"Superb hotel in Downtown LA close to the crypto.com arena. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and the foyer, restaurant, and rooms are beautiful. Great beds too - we would definitely stay here again!"

With careful planning, a trip to LA can offer great value for money while allowing you to appreciate its diverse offerings.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Los Angeles, consider exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on accommodations as your travel date approaches. Additionally, enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. The Smart Shopping feature available in the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options. With these tools, you can be among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available for your spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a hotel in Los Angeles. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more economical dates, which may help you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Los Angeles's outstanding public transport links, you may discover more affordable independent hotels a bit further out that are still well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
