Ok for a night.
The "sea view" was an optimistic description : the room was at street (& cars) level... not too great in terms of intimacy. See photo.
A courtesy tray would have been a plus. The room was quite small but ok. We didn't "see" the Hotel(s wifi, but there was another open hotspot which worked. We have not tried breakfast.
I summary : it was okay for one night but I would select another location for a longer stay.

We had a small apartment looking out onto a little garden and just a step away from the beautiful wild estuary. We only stayed one night but I loved the place and hope to return one day.

Surly at the seaside
Surly front ‘desk’ (bar). Made a dinner reservation at check-in which was not relayed to bistro. They were able to seat us and restaurant service was fine. Microscopic but clean room. WAY too expensive for what you receive. This place is not worth what they charge. Does not even include coffee in the morning nor a little machine in room. So many other better places in France!

The checking in procedure was left as guess work. Nobody on site to receive us, telephone numbers not picking up. We eventually found our rooms through an unlocked door and then saw our names on notices on the doors. It would have been better if someone had text or emailed us.

Great small apartment with an attractive decked terrace. Thoughtfully designed and fitted out with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Great breakfasts, especially the coffee, served in the nearby Treize Arches restaurant offering good value for money. Dinner is also delicious and good value!
Clean accommodation, where everything worked and friendly staff. What’s not to like?

Bicycles by the sea.....
My son and I cycled from Granville to Portbail (90k) and arrived tired, thirsty and hungry! When we arrived around 5pm, there was a telephone number to phone and within 5 minutes our lovely hotelier arrived to take us to a splendid double room accommodation in
1 minute from the river side! It was lovely and after a delicious seafood evening meal at a restaurant opposite, we slept soundly.
The next morning arrived with sunshine outside and a sunny breakfast in the hotel. A super stay in a great location, and a warm French welcome, and even our cycles were given their own room!

Good Hotel Good Location
We were allocated a ground floor room with direct access to the road and down to the river. Very comfortable room with substantial blinds for night security. Orly downside no facilities to make hot drinks in the room

Hidden Gem
Our room was newly constructed with high-grade material and design, in a very old building located in a quaint and charming historic village. Very clean, comfortable and elegant. Priced like a 3 star, but the room feels like a 5 star, it offers excellent value. Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. The outstanding design of the room demonstrates excellent taste on the part of the proprietor. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel with excellent restaurant
Stayed for 1 night, on way back to Cherbourg for ferry. Good spacious room & bathroom with a boutique hotel feel. The meal in the restaurant was excellent (although the tables seemed a bit close together) and good to see that it was open on a Sunday evening - although I believe this is only in main season? Would love to stay again as we could not fault our room or the dinner in the restaurant.
