First night in Dublin
The room was pretty comfortable and well furnished. Location was convenient for walking to Trinity College. Entry to the rooms was through a separate door from the pub and we had to find the manager to be able to store our bags until check in time. Also the rooms are up a flight of stairs (or more depending on where the room is). Overall, I'd say it was quaint and nice and I would stay there again. It was a nice place for the price.

Not bad overall at O'Neill's
The rooms are accessed by a separate door at the side of O'Neill's pub. Rooms are up the stairs, I didn't notice a lift. Check in is at the bar. The pub is really good. Very traditional. Good choice of food and drink. The food was ok and cooked well. I didn't have the breakfast, it was available from 8am and I was out well before then. The older male bar staff were a bit gruff, not particularly welcoming, and I did experience an off-hand attitude to the young female waitresses on 3 or 4 occasions. The room was very nice. Clean, bright, good size. TV channels was limited. Bathroom was good size and warm, plenty of towels. No iron or kettle, and I'm not sure if they were available, I managed without. My room was at the front of the building on Pearce Street, so did get plenty of traffic noise, which started around 6am, not great if you're a tourist hoping for a lie-in. All in all, not bad, would stay again.
