The room was spacious and the location was definitely great. However, we were disappointed that housekeeping never cleaned our room during our entire stay.

Everything was perfect. The lobby smells sooo good, every minute of every day! The beds are amazing...housekeeping is impeccable. The people working at the concierge stand outside are so helpful and friendly, and one of them literally stopped traffic so I could walk across State St. to catch my Uber lol. It is within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and the famous River Walk. I LOVE this hotel and will be staying here on my next trip to The Windy City.

Location - amazing, staff - wonderful, upkeep - very well done, room comfort/clean - great. Only thing I would say is have an area to microwave leftovers food and we never got the complimentary water. Otherwise I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The staff was amazing. The hotel itself was nice. The furniture especially in the lobby needs some updating. Great strong water pressure in shower. Rooftop was great but they kicked us out at 10pm. We were enjoying such a beautiful night.

6/10 Good

The location was within walking distance of most of the things we wanted to do and was half a block from an L stop. There wasn’t much directly around the hotel itself which was especially inconvenient since there was no coffee in the rooms and we only saw it in the lobby once. There was also an issue with the receptionist not finding our reservation and they tried to charge us again. Overall it was an okay stay.

From the moment of our check-in the staff at Royal Sonesta’s River North location made us feel welcomed. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the location is convenient to everything you want to see in Chicago. We were walking distance from the River and Millennium Park, etc. I especially want to thank Gabby and Spiro for their hospitality when I checked in. Great hotel!

There were two young ladies who worked the front desk together and were my ultimate hype girls. Walked through the lobby and told “your hair is gorgeous” or “love your outfit”. It’s little things like that of being noticed in a detailed way that really made me feel special and important. Really felt like coming back to home after exploring the beautiful city.
