Not a great room but good service
I got to my "superior" room which cost over 300 EUR per night to find that there was no desk. Not great for a business trip. Apparently some rooms have desks but the hotel was full that night so there were no other rooms. When I complained, someone tried to call me the next day and offered to move me for my second night. So despite the problem the service was pretty good. And it was very good in other ways as well. In terms of the room, it was small and looked out over an air conditioning unit. So I am not sure what it was superior to. The staff at the hotel and the food were great. So, although you can apparently ask for a desk in advance, I would not stay here again on business, but I would do so for leisure. And maybe come to the restaurant even if not staying there.

I would gladly stay at The Spencer again.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel a great deal. Great fitness center, nice rooms, and within a 25 minute walk to the city center and many sights.
