The Palmer House is a classic historical hotel located within walking distance of a multitude of Chicago attractions, restaurants and shopping venues. Less than 2 blocks away is Millennium Park, the Art Institute and the Maggie Daley children's park. The lobby of the hotel is magnificent, with it's complete restoration of the original soaring ceilings and their beautiful frescos and murals. Staff are friendly and courteous and the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely appointed.

Unfortunately, the room had only two hand towels for showering and shampoo and body wash was out. The bathroom was not the cleanest around toilet area. I've stayed here before and have always have great room. I'm unsure what happened this time. Check-in was easy and friendly.

The staff and hotel were good and reasonably helpful. Through out my stay, I had no complaints whatsoever. Will definitely recommend this hotel
