Just steps from the train station this was a great hotel to have as "home base" while traveling by train. We were able to check in early which was so helpful (since we got back from a side trip at midnight) and the room was very comfortable for the night.

Disappointed
Bit underwhelming - heating wouldn’t turn off despite putting it on 0, air con wouldn’t come on so had to open window above a noisy road. Also the door of the room didn’t lock properly (so could enter without the key) or the key wouldn’t work once the door did lock. Would expect much better for the price paid.

Wonderful location right next to main train station, immediate areas surrounding and nearby are day time only streets, but area is well lit. Hotel has been updated and rooms are comfortable and well worth the cost. Lot of choices to eat nearby and easy to catch local trams and sight-seeing bus.

Hamburger Hof was a nice little hotel very close to the Frankfurt Main train station. The staff were very nice and helpful with local recommendations. Their breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. We had two minor issues; one, the safe in our room didn’t work and they offered to move us but we chose to stay. The other was the temperature of the room. For some reason it was difficult to get it to maintain a good temperature. As others have said, the area around the station “seemed” a bit seedy but we never felt unsafe as there were always people coming and going from the train station and the police station is directly across from the hotel. It was always very quiet at night so no problems with sleep. There is an excellent Italian restaurant and an excellent Chinese restaurant right around the corner. We enjoyed our 5 night stay here.

Hotel was really handy for the Messe and also for getting around on transport with it being located next to the railway. It is like any city near a main station with all sorts of people but felt safe and hotel is opposite police station. Staff kind and thoughtful and the room was perfectly clean and well equipped.

New and clean, and right across from the north exit of the main train station. Receptionist marked on a map the direction to the riverside for running. Breakfast is fine for 13.5 euro. Room is small but served the purpose for an overnight stay. But somehow there is not even a bottle of water or an electric kettle in the room. It always took a couple of minutes for me to use the card key to open the door. The hotel may need to check the working of the key system.

A very convenient hotel for night stay. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and still good as before. However, would be good if they include bottled water for us in the room. The breakfast staff were not so welcoming even though the place is pretty empty. Can skip paying for breakfast and buy at nearby Macdonald at the train station next time.
