My overall Rating: ★★☆☆☆
My stay at Villa Copenhagen was, to put it mildly, disappointing. While the hotel’s stunning online imagery led me to believe that I was signing up for a high-quality experience, the reality fell far short.
I chose a premium room which seemed to have breathtaking views and generous space, only to find a first, then second, room that could only be described as tiny - a far cry from what the glossy online photos depicted.
Despite the unexpected shortcomings, I must applaud the extraordinary assistance provided by Clara, a remarkable member of staff who consistently went above and beyond to address my concerns.
After three check-in attempts and a lengthy wait for managerial approval, I was eventually accommodated in a just-about-acceptable room, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling of being ripped off.
Regrettably, the issues did not end there.
My first night was marred by a malfunctioning air conditioning system which, despite a service request, remained unaddressed until the following day. The in-room coffee machine was also defective, although the hotel’s gesture to offer complimentary coffee was appreciated. The toiletries bottles, another integral part of the hospitality experience, were not all functional, leaving a further negative impression.
Adding to the growing list of issues, the hotel’s taxi ordering system was chaotic and poorly managed. I don’t recommend this hotel at all until management has changed.
