Not a good stay!

Meh
The hotel is in a building built in the 1800s and I knew that going into it. I expected it to be a little meh. Surprisingly, it wasn't too bad. But it is very obviously cheap. Some would even say fake fancy. The parking is an extra $28 a day. I'm not really sure why hotels do this but most of them in the area try to look cheaper by waiting until you get there to hit you with an extra parking fee. The hotel lobby looks nice, but when you get into the rooms and the hallway, the place is dingy. The carpet is just laid on the floor in many places so the squares are coming up and are a tripping hazzard. The room is kinda gross. I needed up having to tidy up my own room. There was a bandaid stuck to the wall and the paper from another bandaid was on the floor in the bathroom. I know it was from another time because it was a different size. There was hair in the bed telling me they didn't change the sheets. Good thing I carry an extra set of sheets when I travel because I've been in that situation before. I would have contacted the front desk but I was told there's no house keeping so what's the point of they're going to claim they can't clean because of Covid. I did however ask for a TRASHCAN because there wasn't one in our room. I was assured there would be one brought up by the end of the day. Nothing. Asked where it was and the front desk acted confused. Still no trashcan. Had no choice but to use the closet as a trashcan. They don't clean the rooms but expect me to eat in the r

This hotel is taking full advantage of Covid.
Upon check in, we were informed that our room would not be serviced for the entire duration of our stay. There was no valet service, restaurant/lounge and outside seating area was closed although every restaurant and bar within the historic district was open. The room rate certainly didn't reflect the lack of services received. We were charged and paid for a room with a river/canal view, but were given a room with a view of the top of the parking garage, on the opposite side of the hotel from the river. This hotel is loving the full rate they are charging while having closed facilities and paying for a reduced staff.

Clean
Very clean room, staff was super sweet and very good. Close to market place and river. No bar, food,or amenities other than a nice private patio. Parking in garage is close but pricey $28 Would stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Staying at Hotel Indigo was a horrible experience! The manager said check-In was strictly at 4 pm, which I totally get it. However, when we got there at 4 pm, there was a line with at least 30 guests and only one employee to check everyone in. Due to a 40 min wait to check-in, we were told that we were going to get a discount on the rate. Which was a lie...I still got charged the full rate!

First time in Savannah!
In spite of the current day situation with COVID-19 our stay was very pleasant and we’d definitely recommend Hotel Indigo to anyone; the staff and concierge were excellent!!!!

It was just an ok experience.
Very conveniently located. The room was comfortable but it wasn’t completely clean or fully stocked with towels and soap. The staff was nice but weren’t very helpful.
