Tomas, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The hotel is above a very noisy bar. The staff were very kind and saw I was concerned so put us on the top floor but, for the price, it was very disappointing.
Tracy, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Great location but glad we were only there for one night. Nightclub under the hotel, playing heavy rock until 2.30 in the morning and then all the customers from the night club were talking and smoking under the bedroom window long after closing!!!
Rebecca, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

This place is terrible. It is a scam. It is not what it looks like in the picture. It's like a place for homeless people!
Clothes hanged by the window! yuck.
It is so dirty outside
Ana liza, 2-night trip

4/10 Poor

The area did not feel safe, was loud all night. Sounded like a fight going on. Parking was In a parking deck several blocks away. The staff was very accommodating in helping up and down the many steps with our luggage. Would not stay there again.
Debra, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Great location to get around the city. But right above a bar, noisy until the wee hours of the morning.
karen, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

I didn't like why the hotel kept the photocopy of our documents, the first time I've seen this procedure.
Carina, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Love little room. Staff absolutely lovely! Great location and clean
Hannah, 2-night trip

4/10 Poor

Not how it looks like in the photos. Exterior is from another building, I guess nearby. Probably using it to attract people, false advertising.
Matija, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The pictures of the hotel were ..total fabrication, it is also right over a night club and very noisey ..staff were great ...and b
Craig, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

Hotel is a great base. Easy walking distance to temple bars. Area a bit rough especially the entrance. We had a room at the back of the hotel and didn’t notice much noise from the club and the bars next door. Bed clean and a hot shower is all we needed. The price is expensive for where it’s situated however everywhere in Dublin is expensive. Fresh towels daily / hairdryer and iron in the room/ hand gel and shower gel in the bathroom so cannot really complain.
Gemma, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

This is a very old building. Very, very tiny rooms. It's not like what i saw in the pictures. It was close to lots of places. The noise was crazy. You don't get to sleep until the party ends. That would be anywhere from 3:30 am to 3:45 am. Then, 45 minutes later, people started showing up to catch their ride for work. But again, what do you expect when you visit Ireland. It was my very first time visiting there. The staff were fine when you had to deal with them.
Marcie, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

A bar / nightclub operates at the hotel. Any thoughts of sleeping should be disgarded. Had booked this hotel for my employee and he had to check out at 1130pm as they could not sleep
NICHOLAS, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Noisy stay

The hotel was very noisy throughout the night and every night. The hotel would definitely benefit from soundproofing. Could here every conversation outside
Paul, 10-night trip

2/10 Terrible

First.. stretchy place. Two.. no lift/elevator. Three.. above a bar so it's extremely noisy, I was not able to sleep at all! Constant noise throughout the entire night. Four.. extremely outdated. The amount we paid for this place is ridiculous! Almost $200! No way I would ever stay here. Spend the extra money and stay in the place behind this place called academy plaza. So much better!!! I would never stay in this place alone
Cynthia, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Very oudated, no lift, no ice, no AC, rooms next to a boiler with made extremly hot and uncomfortable.
Juan, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

it looks nothing like the pictures and it’s super sketchy. that’s the street it’s on and there was someone on something sitting right outside. you also have to click a button to be let in so you’re just standing outside. do not recommend at all. also only booked a double room and my room had 3 beds in it.

I had two stays at Gate Hotel the first night the room was so hot I had to wet a towel over my legs to get to sleep. I asked not to be put in that room on my return trip but it seems it's a first in first served so I asked for another room. It was a floor up and you could here the garden Bar, but as I grow up opposite a pub this didn't worry me. It was much cooler. Clean room and helpful staff.
Kay, 1-night trip

Best for the price in city centre
Amal, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The pictures from this site do not match the hotel that we stayed in. The exterior picture is not even close and the room/bathroom do not match, unless there are remodeled rooms. There is not breakfast served on property, they tell you to go to a restaurant around the corner. The staff was nice and it is well located for pick up location for Finn McCools tours (although I don't know if they always pick up at the same location). We were put in a room on the 3rd floor and the "cold" water from the tap was a trickle, but the hot water was HOT. When I shared this with the front desk, I was told that to let the "cold" water run and that would help with the pressure. It was offered for us to changed rooms, but that seemed like too much of a hassle and we felt it was easier to deal with the "cold" water rather than chance something else. Also, the bathroom lighting was horrible with a mini mirror that was not even at a "normal" height, and also the bathroom did not match any of the bathrooms pictured. I hope that this hotel is in the middle of some remodeling because it is in a central location.
Gina, 4-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Well placed in Dublin

We asked for a quiet room so we’re on the 3rd floor ( this is an old hotel so under stable) The room was quiet and clean. For a hotel that is central it is affordable and clean.
