The property is nestled in a quaint area that is somewhat secluded and right near the river. It was breathtaking to walk up and down the trail listening to the river and all the birds. The resort was very busy and was having a convention, which was not ideal for us since we were looking to get away from all that. There was not a place to eat because the convention had taken over the restaurant. It was way understaffed and wasn’t kept clean. Towels and drinks from the night before were all around the pool and firepit area where you could sit. Coffee was not provided in the mornings- this is supposed to be a 5 star and no coffee bar! They did have a market that served coffee, but it did not open until 7am- the restaurant that serves coffee didn’t open until 7am. There were early golfers, hikers, and people that were roaming at 6am looking for some coffee! The rooms were very nice, clean… best beds and pillows! There was an espresso machine but it made tiny cups of espresso. The shuttle service was excellent- could get anywhere in the village for dinner or lunch. Once everyone left, and the resort was quiet, it was a beautiful place and we were glad we didn’t switch hotels. Overall, I would stay again.
