Great Location and historical hotel
The hotel is a historical monument. Beautiful building and interior. You'll find a lot of day visitors especially at reception and on the staircase leading to the rooms of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Our room was spacious, with a separate lounge and a bathroom with a free standing bath. We had some issues with the bath plug not working, the water kept draining away. Then the cold water tap wasn't working which was again fixed. I noticed that the bath and shower weren't being cleaned everyday which was disappointing. The room has tea and coffee making facilities and they leave complimentary water everyday. Breakfast was lovely. I had paid extra for a cooked breakfast but honestly that's not worth it and buffet breakfast is brilliant. The staff are excellent, especially the concierge and at reception. Location is great, walking distance to Istiklal caddessi and Galata port. We even managed to walk across the bridge to the spice bazaar. Overall I really enjoyed staying at the Pera Palace and would stay again.

Beautiful and Historic
This is a beautiful historic hotel. Mustafa Ataturk stayed at this hotel as did many world known celebrities. The hotel had preserved the rooms that Ataturk used and now show them as a museum. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They always answer with a smile. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

A Beautiful and old fashioned Istanbul hotel with a lot of history. Unfortunately, the facilities have not kept up. We had problems with our heating in the room. There was also a big party downstairs over the weekend which was extremely loud and did not allow us to sleep. The staff were extremely friendly though and excellent service.

A Better Bar than a Hotel
The Orient bar and staff were excellent, but you do not need to stay there to go to the bar. When we arrived, we pulled up in a taxi at the entrance. Nobody offered help with luggage, and we had to fight past people to even get in the door! The reception staff seemed very unhappy/bored - not a warm welcome. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nice large showers. The room said Golden Horn view, but mainly was buildings and a main road with a slither of water. The young guy at the sap reception was lovely and welcoming, but the staff inside was rude. One girl sprayed me with a cleaning spray while I sat down after the sauna. If you want people to leave, ask! It was at least an hour before closing, though. We are glad we cancelled our Hammam service. Tom Tom Suites, Soho House and Divan are all much better options. The place's history attracts many people; while sitting in the bar, they even brought a tour group through! It's not an ideal stay to relax. I suggest just booking in for the afternoon tea or going to the bar and staying somewhere else. Though it is a very affordable option.

When I checked into this hotel the entire lobby was rented out by a private party for 2 days. I have been to many hotels in my lifetime never seen a lobby of a hotel rented out for a private party. Question to hotel management where do you expect your hotel guests to sit and relax when the lobby is off limits for a couple of days?
