8/10 Very good

Funky hotel, very clean. Great staff, friendly. Rooms can be small, which is tough when you have to work and there is no desk. I stayed here two weeks in a row and the second time they did upgrade me to a room with a desk which was helpful. Free drink ticket was only good until 6pm which really not helpful if working all day! Although nice that the front desk offered you a pop in exchange if couldn't use it. Also felt a little cheap to give only 1 free breakfast ticket when booked and paid for a room with two people. I was there with coworkers and they were really not impressed. Both the drinks and breakfast ticket may be more the restaurant than the hotel. Overall a nice, clean place to stay with friendly staff. Lots of restaurants around.

6/10 Good

I would not stay here again.
The hotel itself is decent. A remodel of an old building with fashionable decor. The staff was EXECELLENT. The unfortunate part is the location. It sits just at the edge of seediness. When we arrived there were several (as in more than 10) people with needles in their arms, passed out, or puking.. not a good sight for young children. While that is not the hotel's fault, the alley ways just a few blocks north were clean an inviting with lots of light and security for those hotels.

A really nice place!
This is the second time I've stayed here, and it was a really good experience. They upgraded our king sized room to a whole suite.

Amazing hotel. Eco friendly and “plastic free”. Even the keys were wooden. Beds were absolutely amazing.

2/10 Poor

Terrible area. We could see junkies smoking crack on the street mid afternoon. Our room stinked old humidity and sewers, they try to cover it with cheap air freshener but it just makes it worse. The hotel is on top of a restaurant that turns into a disco, it was as if I was sleeping on speakers. I could not sleep at all, had to be moved to the higher floors at midnight so I could get a few hours of sleep. Once on the higher floor, the room we had was smelling ok and we could finally sleep, but the experience was ruined nonetheless. The staff was accomodating in trying to find a solution and other than the smell, the rooms are clean, that's the only positive from our stay. Don't get fooled by the photoshopped pictures and the star ratings, pay 100$ more and go to much nicer offerings in Vancouver.
