Ideal solo stay in the West End
This was a perfect stay near English Bay Beach. Quiet, clean, secure, nice balcony that had shade part of the day. Good kitchen, great shower, comfortable bed. Right by the beach, Stanley Park, transportation, delicious and lively cafes and restaurants, as well as supermarkets.

This was our second time staying at the Sonder and it was a great stay, like the last time, although we paid Vancouver summer prices ($$$) this time. The room was fully outfitted with everything we needed, a full kitchen, comfy bed, bathroom with nice smelling products, and super clean and new. Taking one star off because the check-in time is as late as 4:00 PM and it is not possible to check in earlier without paying extra. At a time when most hotels and vacation rentals do early check-in as an extra hospitality thing if the room is available, this seemed really unpleasant. Especially because they wanted me to let them know exactly when I checked out on their app, presumably because it's more convenient for their scheduling, even though they didn't care about my convenience when it came to checking in.
