We went for a football game and surprisingly the local restaurants weren't staffed for it and we found that given how late it was after the game there were very limited options for dining

Found a great little restaurant in Emporia with great food that was affordable - Union Street Social at 225 E 6th Ave. I do NOT recommend the ihop that was near the hotel - more expensive than the two dinners we had, even with a glass of wine!

"I absolutely loved this property and the stay. What I despised is Expedia charging me double what the rates would had been if I had just made them through Drury direct. I will never, and I mean NEVER, use Expedia for another trip plan again. Total ripoff. "
"We visited several local restaurants with amazing food in the area. Loved the hotel, the cleanliness and quietness of it, and the staff. Only complaints (and they are not really complaints) is the bed comfort was not what we are used to and we had a hard time figuring out how to make the shower work (it had a handicap handheld option - which also would not stay in its holder). But that was a minor thing, like I said, not really a complaint. Will definitely stay here again next time we go to Kansas City."

"My Husband, dog & I have been here for almost two weeks, as we wait for our condo to be done. In our opinion, this is one of the best hotels in there area .. from the price point to the free breakfast, and maintenance of the hotel. The lobby is very lovely! During daytime hours they are always doing something to maintain the quality of the building/grounds... everyone is doing something, (but not in an annoying way). The staff is always a pleasure to interact with, plus they are super dog friendly!!! Just an overall great experience, while dealing with our stressful situation!!! "
