Edmonton has a lot to offer anyone going as a tourist, business, or for medical reasons. Traffic in Edmonton can be a nightmare but if you plan your route ahead of time and check traffic forecasts this is manageable. Most people very nice & helpful.

It was a super busy weekend with Folk Fest, Cari-West Fest, and Animethon. It was nice to see Edmonton vibrant outside of an Oilers playoff run. Busier than we expected but not a bad thing.

Edmonton is a great town with social issues getting considerably worse in the last 2-3 years. Shopping is great and the freeways are spacious and well laid out.

Lot's of great options for shopping and dining and entertainment. Traffic was crazy and some drivers tend to be4 rude. We are from a small town so not used to the crazy traffic or drivers who will not let you get over.

Roads are crazy around downtown and river valley crossing. Check a map before going and don't rely on vehicle nav. Roads even confuses Ai . 🙂

If your trip is going to consist of going to West Edmonton mall, I highly recommend a day minimal to be able to walk and enjoy the mall. We had 3 days and still was hard to cover everything. We did get one day to enjoy the amusement park in the mall

We visit Edmonton quite frequently as we used to live there. Edmonton holds a lot of hidden gems and variety of experiences that can have lasting memories with the family. Like anything it is a city so times chosen to commute can affect experience.
"We loved the convenience for access to WEM. The staff were lovely and everything was very clean. The fire alarm ringing one night at 3am was our only bad experience and it didn't last for too long."
"Check-in was easy, cleanliness was noted, and staff were friendly. Rooms were quiet, beds were comfortable. Breakfast options were minimal but well stocked. Would recommend this hotel to anybody coming into the Edmonton area and needing a place to stay."
