Hickory is a very pretty city with a lot to offer visitors and Lenoir-Rhyne University is a great school. Union Square and downtown Hickory is one of our favorite places to visit.

It is a small town, you'll find restaurants, bars, some shopping stores ex: Gabe's, Ross, TJ Max, Target, Dick's, Home Goods, Sam's, Walmart a nice little mall. Ect.but nothing major. The downtown area is cute, it has bars, restaurants boutiques etc

The mall is probably not a good idea to visit. Its starting to look empty, 6 options for food and several closed stores. Chilis good, Panera good that was visited.

"Enjoyed outdoor seating and breakfast! Bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Towels were nice and we appreciated extra set from the beginning.
Although the room was large and had been cleaned, there were a few stains on the carpet and the dresser/console had several nicks, paint touch-ups that were noticeable. "
"Nice building going through an external remodeling. The work did not impact my sleeping or use of the building. The only thing that wasn't great was the firmness of the mattress. I like a softer mattress and the bed was on the very firm side."
"I have been staying here when I come to town and they literally treat you like family. I say it’s my home away from home. Very peaceful and laid back atmosphere.
The breakfast is A1. Hands down the best coffee. I have No desire to lodge anywhere else when in Cornelius/Lake Norman. They are renovating the property but that’s not ever been a problem either. Try it out. They will not disappoint!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️殺"
