We loved Fortuna. Everything is close by with easy access. The layout of the town was easy to figure out and find our way around. Three freeway exits for a little town! The brochures for the area, including hikes and driving tours were great.

Double D steak house for fantastic dinner. L's kitchen for breakfast. Didn't have time to hit the brewery, but that looked great too. Cute downtown area. Close to redwoods, good location!

It's a friendly town. Clean, I didn't notice any homeless folks, Nice parks and a walking path along the river near hotel
"The hotel was much nicer/cleaner than when we stayed a few years ago. The Casino has a dedicated smoking area blocked off from the main Casino floor which is a nice change from years ago when you couldn't go to the Casino without smelling like an ashtray. The hotel is also no smoking / no cannabis which is a must in Humboldt County. Overall, I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness of both the hotel and casino. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here for future trips to the area."
"We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool.
We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy."
