West Yellowstone is a beautiful little area. We have traveled here during summer, but being here in the spring with no crowds was amazing. Not all shops, restaurants and everything in Yellowstone was open yet but we'd still come back in the spring!

West Yellowstone is the gateway to one of the most beautiful National Parks. Accommodations in the park are very expensive so this is a good area to stay if you can't afford to stay in the park.

There is a uniqueness of traveling to this bustling little town in wintertime that is the complete opposite of summertime traffic that I find both cool and eerie.

Great place and easy to navigate. Highly recommend Firehole BBQ. Also ate at Old Town Cafe. Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center was awesome. Yellowstone at the IMAX is worth the time and the huckleberry ice cream .99 cents for a serving.

Make sure you give yourself time to enter the park. There is a large traffic jam through town. Go passed the queue out of town and turn around and come back from the other direction. Town has plenty of dining and shopping options.

We enjoyed the time we spent there the end of September. I had stayed there 15 years ago when the town was smaller, and less tourist-y. It is definitely more geared to getting those tourist dollars now, but still small enough to enjoy staying there.
"The friendliest people to ever run/work at a hotel. We were greeted warmly, invited to order in after an exhausting day. The breakfast was also great!!! The pool was on the cool side, but tolerable. Would definitely consider staying here again when we come back to West Yellowstone"
"I wasn't here very long but the room was spacious and lovely. I recommend making sure you get a first floor room if you have any physical limitations, however. The surrounding area has lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and it is a very short drive to the Yellowstone entrance."
